Odaily News Holograph, a full-chain NFT protocol, released an update on the security incident on X: A former contractor exploited a vulnerability to mint an additional 1 billion HLG tokens on Mantle, causing the protocol to be temporarily locked. The team is developing strategies to mitigate the impact of the vulnerability and working with security experts to prevent similar incidents from happening again. The attackers exchange accounts on Bybit, Gate, KuCoin, Bitget, and Backpack have been frozen, and at least 200 million of the 1 billion additional HLGs have been frozen. At the same time, the relevant exchanges have suspended all HLG deposits and withdrawals. Next, the official will conduct a third-party audit of the protocol and continue to promote the full-chain tokenization infrastructure and applications. Yesterday, the full-chain NFT protocol Holograph issued a statement on X that the Holograph contract has been exploited by malicious actors, and hackers can illegally mint an additional 1 billion HLG tokens. The team has patched the initial vulnerability and is working with various trading platform partners to lock malicious accounts. At the same time, an investigation has been launched and law enforcement agencies are being contacted.
