The cryptocurrency market has suffered a 2% loss today, but the top crypto gainers are offering traders the possibility of big profits.

Bitcoin (BTC) has touched a one-month low of $64,400, as the fallout continues from last week’s hawkish FOMC decision .

Altcoins have taken the brunt of the negativity, with major alts such as Ethereum (ETH) , Solana (SOL) and Dogecoin (DOGE) suffering 3.5%, 6% and 11% drops in the past 24 hours, respectively.

However, a handful of smaller alts and meme tokens have avoided the widespread negativity and posted substantial gains today, as traders hunt for quick market-beating returns.

Cristiano Ronaldo (RONALDO7)

Launched this morning on Raydium, DEXScreener puts RONALDO7 at a huge 1,000,000% increase in the past 24 hours , with the Solana-based token currently at $0.2112.

It isn’t the first Ronaldo-referencing meme token to have emerged recently, with a CR7 token also launching today , albeit to much less interest.

There’s almost certainly no official association with the legendary soccer player, with the coin having no presence on social media or anywhere else online.

Still, it has attracted a buy volume of just over $600,000 so far, and while this is minuscule in comparison to major tokens, it may snowball further in the next few hours and days.

It’s likely that the token’s issuers are hoping to piggyback on the European Championship, with Portugal – who have included Ronaldo in their squad – playing their first match of the tournament today.

Of course, there’s always a risk that it may soon fade away quickly following the initial burst of interest, as with so many other quickly launched Solana-based meme tokens.

NGMI (NGMI)

Another top crypto gainer today is NGMI, a token that appears to be running with the popular ‘not gonna make it’ phrase as its meme.

It listed on Solana-based DEX Raydium late last night, with the coin posting a no-less impressive 550,000% increase in the past 24 hours .

Unlike RONALDO7, NGMI does have an online presence, boasting an X account by the name of ‘Biggest Meme Coin Launch on Solana.’

While it is down since reaching its current peak of $0.3414, it has begun rising again, with the token up by 16% in the past hour.

As such, it could be one to watch for more gains in the very near future, with the project seemingly paying various influencers to plug the token in their posts .

Baby Billy (BBILLY)

Rounding off this list of the top crypto gainers today is Baby Billy, which listed (again on Raydium) only in the last few hours.

It has nonetheless shot up by over 110,000% , with the token attracting 1,800 buyers so far and a volume of $800,000.

It’s currently standing at $0.007932, which represents a gain of 51% in the past hour, so the token still has plenty of its initial launch momentum left.

While it also boasts a social media presence, this is still pretty small, with its X account currently having only 14 followers .

This is at least a start, with its Telegram faring slightly better at 201 members , a potential sign of growth.

It’s possible that BBILLY could be on the same trajectory as NGMI, with more gains in store in the near term, although it naturally remains a risky bet.

Alternatives with Stronger Fundamentals

While the three coins above may continue to rise over the next few hours or days, there also remains every chance that they have peaked.

In other words, they may be on the brink of dumping, something which would leave late-coming retail investors out of pocket.
