Irene Zhao is a ‘crypto Twitter’ (CT) influencer with a large following consisting of predominantly single men. She has over 200,000 followers on X and a Telegram channel with over 3,500 subscribers. Irene Zhao AKA ‘Asian Mom Of Degens’ Called Out For Looking A Lot Different In-Person at Token 2049
Zhao has been doing the rounds at Token2049 and has been called out by many in the CT community for looking a lot different in-person to how she looks on social media. One particular X user, @SolvingFrank, posted an image of Zhao at the Token2049 alongside one of her aforementioned bikini pictures. The user hilariously captioned the post, ‘The whitepaper vs. the product’.
The influencer has since clapped back at the various roasts of her going around. In a reply post of a conference attendee posting a picture of the two, Zhao commented ‘Come and take photos with me if you are in Singapore.. See with your own eyes’.

To close out Token2049, an influencer boxing event was held at the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore. It culminated in a main event featuring an Indian influencer/boxer by the name of Pardeep Kharera. Think of Pardeep as the Tommy Fury of India. He has a 7-5 pro record but hasn’t fought professionally since 2020.
In the main event, Kharera took on crypto influencer ‘hedgedhog’, who also runs a small VC firm, Fisher 8 Capital. Hedgedhog previously won a bout against Loomdart at a Crypto Fight Week event in December 2023. The result of todays bout was another Hedgedhog win, impressively forcing a corner retirement from Kharera and becoming the new ‘WBC’ champion in the process.
The fight night ended with infamous crypto influencers, BitBoy and Ansem, squaring up to each other in the ring. It was then announced that the two will be fighting at another Crypto Fight Week event in Dubai at the end of the year. That is sure to be an amusing spectacle following BitBoys last appearance in the ring.
