Driven by the Bitcoin DeFi craze, the use of Internet Computer Cross-Chain Protocol increased by 1230% year-on-year
On November 5th, according to a report released by developer Dfinity Foundation on November 4th, the usage of the cross-chain message transfer protocol Chain Fusion on the Internet Computer has increased by 1,230% YoY, mainly from native Bitcoin applications.
Dfinity stated that Bitcoin applications, including Rainbow Protocol, Tap Protocol, and Bitfinity, are using Internet Computer to deploy smart contracts and other complex programs on the Bitcoin network, and Chain Fusion "enables smart contracts on Bitcoin because ICP can directly interact with the Bitcoin network without using any trusted bridges."
