A certain Ethereum user successfully persuaded AI agent Freysa to send a bonus of 13.19 ETH
According to Cryptopolitan, an Ethereum user named p0pular.eth successfully persuaded the AI agent Freysa to transfer its prize pool of 13.19 ETH ($47,000). The design of Freysa does not allow any fund transfers. Freysa is a simulated AI research project designed to test how much participants can think ahead of an AI that has been set with specific rules and regulations. The main task is to persuade the AI to disobey the first command while not allowing funds transfer under any circumstances. Each player must pay a fee in order to send messages to Freysa, which will go into the prize fund. For each subsequent message, the price increases from an initial $10 up until $450 by game's end. There have been hundreds of attempts made at influencing Freysa including exploiting potential weaknesses or lying about the operating rules of AI. If all participants fail, they will not receive prizes but instead distribute them among those who paid.
