The South Korean ruling party will hold a meeting tonight to discuss the response plan for the presidential impeachment case
On December 4, the ruling party in South Korea, the People Power Party, will hold an emergency general meeting at 22:00 local time today (December 4) to discuss a response plan for the impeachment case against President Yoon Seok-youl proposed by the opposition party. This morning, the People Power Party held a three-hour general meeting to discuss three proposals put forward by Han Dong-hun, representative of the ruling party at the Supreme Committee: demanding collective resignation of cabinet members; investigating responsibilities of Defense Minister Kim Long-hyun and others; and requesting President Yoon Seok-youl to leave his party. However, no consensus was reached on Yoon's departure from his party. It is expected that discussions on related issues will continue within The People Power Party. It is reported that Prime Minister Han Deuk-soo of South Korea, Representative Han Dong-hun of the ruling party and Chief Whip Choo Kyung-Hwan jointly went to Presidential Office where they will have talks with President Yoon Seok-youl.(CCTV International News)
