Shiba Inu announces airdrop of millions in TREAT tokens
Shiba Inu's (CRYPTO:SHIB) ecosystem is set to expand with the upcoming launch of its new token, TREAT (CRYPTO:TREAT), scheduled for January 14, 2025.
In anticipation of this launch, major cryptocurrency exchanges such as KuCoin (CRYPTO:KCS), Gate.io, and Bitget are supporting a special airdrop for eligible users.
These exchanges will distribute millions of TREAT tokens to their users, with KuCoin offering 3 million tokens, Gate.io distributing 1 million, and Bitget providing a substantial 87.45 million tokens for its users.
To claim the tokens, users must create an account on one of the participating exchanges and then visit Shiba Inu's official website to submit their user ID and designated deposit address.
LUCIE, Shibarium’s Marketing Strategist, emphasised the importance of following official procedures to avoid scams.
"Follow these steps carefully and always use official platforms," she stated.
As excitement builds around TREAT's launch, LUCIE also cautioned users to be vigilant against potential fraudsters who may attempt to exploit the situation.
"Please don’t be misled by these predatory scammers. They can be called vultures, circling and looking for their next feed," she warned.
The airdrop is part of Shiba Inu's strategy to enhance utility within its ecosystem, with TREAT serving as a reward token and providing liquidity for the proposed stablecoin SHI.
With this launch, Shiba Inu aims to solidify its position beyond being just a meme coin and foster greater engagement within its community.
As the launch date approaches, users are advised to stay informed and ensure they are using verified channels to participate in the airdrop.
At the time of reporting, the Shiba Inu (SHIB) price was $0.00002129.
