Breaking Bad's Dean Norris' X Account Hacked to Promote Memecoin Scam
Actor Dean Norris, famous for his role in Breaking Bad, had his X account hacked to promote a memecoin called DEAN in a pump and dump scheme. The hackers used a doctored photo of Norris holding a piece of paper with the ticker DEAN and its launch date. Norris later posted a video on his X account denouncing the memecoin as a "complete, fake scam" and criticized Reddit users who accused him of promoting it. This is the second time Norris's account has been hacked for a cryptocurrency scheme, and some Reddit users speculate that the video promoting DEAN could be a deepfake or taken out of context.
