The parents of FTX founder SBF discussed the issue of pardoning their son with people close to Trump
News on February 2nd, sources revealed that the parents of FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried are trying to secure a pardon from Trump for their son, a former cryptocurrency billionaire. Stanford Law School Professor Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried have been meeting with lawyers and other individuals considered close to Trump in recent weeks to discuss pardoning their son who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud.
It is currently unclear whether they have made contact with the White House. Trump's previous use of his pardon power for people like Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht has prompted them to urgently present their case to Trump.
