Infini, a well-known DeFi platform, has recently experienced a significant exploit. As per data from Cyvers Alerts, a blockchain security platform, Infini has gone through a $USDC breach. The attack has incurred $49M as the attacker abused retained admin privileges. However, after… pic.twitter.com/olguOyNCJr — 🚨 Cyvers Alerts 🚨 (@CyversAlerts) February 24, 2025 Attacker Exploits Unrevoked Admin Privileges to Draine $49M $USDC from Infini Cyvers Alerts associates the exploit of Infini with the abuse of reserved admin privileges by the attacker. Particularly, the attacker exploited the respective privileges in the smart contract of Infini. The blockchain security firm revealed “0xc49b5e5b9da66b9126c1a62e9761e6b2147de3e1” as the attacker’s wallet address. The attacker had reportedly been engaged in the establishment of the smart contract of Infini. Following that, the smart contract was delivered to Infini’s project team. Nonetheless, the developer security had reserved administrative access. The respective loophole permitted the attacker to exploit the smart contract. Hence, a considerable time after the launch of the project, the attacker exploited it. Approximately, the attacker executed this exploit up to one hundred days following the project’s completion. Hence, the attacker initiated a scheme by funding address via Tornado Cash which is a privacy-focused crypto mixer to obfuscate transfer trails. Subsequently, the exploiter sent a minor $ETH transfer to recompense the gas fee for the exploit’s execution. Ultimately, the attacker drained the whole fund of Infini through the smart contract. DeFi Projects Need Preemptive Measures to Prevent Future Attacks According to Cyvers Alerts, the Infini exploit highlights inadequate access control processes as well as a failure to invalidate administrative privileges. Hence, the teams behind the DeFi projects should pay considerable head to such loopholes to avoid exploits. Additionally, there is a requirement for real-time threat discovery, proactive security observation, routine audits, and strict access control mechanisms.

Sun announced that Tron’s Gas Free feature will roll out within the next week, allowing users to send USDT without needing TRX for gas fees. The update comes as Tron transaction fees have soared, making it one of the most expensive networks for USDT transfers. Tron was once the cheapest option for USDT transfers, offering an alternative to Ethereum’s ERC-20 USDT. However, fees spiked dramatically in recent months. According to Tether’s GasFeesNow page, TRC-20 USDT transfers now cost between $3.20 and $6.50, while ERC-20 USDT transfers on Ethereum are priced at around $0.40. “Gas fees estimation is tricky for the Tron network,” Tether noted, explaining that USDT transfers require “energy” and “bandwidth”, which regular users may not have. Sun has been working on a gas-free solution since mid-2024. The project was initially planned for Q4 2024, but the timeline appears to have shifted. “I believe that similar services will make it easier for large companies to deploy stablecoin services on the blockchain, pushing mass adoption forward,” Sun said last year. Tron’s Gas Free feature could restore its status as the go-to network for stablecoin transfers, removing a major cost barrier for USDT users. Elsewhere, the T3 Financial Crime Unit, a collaboration between the Tron blockchain, Tether, and TRM Labs, has frozen $100 million in USDT linked to illicit activities since its formation in September. The unit leverages TRM Labs’ blockchain intelligence tools to monitor and analyze transactions involving USDT on the Tron blockchain.

It's been 1.5 months since the last low, which happened on the 10th of January. We are potentially looking at a higher low now and the start of a new bullish wave. This is a major development. There isn't much to go by from the chart, only the fact that trading volume has been higher in previous drops. The total amount of long positions liquidated can also be considered; the market cycle; the fact that the year is 2025 and we are about to enter March. The Cryptocurrency market will be 100% bullish in March. Bitcoin will be bullish in March, so it is a possible that we are looking at a higher low on the 2D candle and this candle closes tomorrow. I am doing, for my people, 10X on this chart setup. 10X is about the limit for our leveraged trades. I only go to the upper range of the limit when we are really close to the next major market move. We know the next move is bullish and we know we are very close, for this reason we are ready to 'step in the gas', we are ready to go in with full force because Bitcoin (the Cryptocurrency market) is about to embark on a phase of long-term growth. Now. All growth will not happen in a single week or a single day. This is a long-term process but bottom prices tend to be available only for a matter of days. Is this really it?
